Trevor Paglen
Trevor Paglen (b. 1974, Camp Springs, Maryland) is a conceptual artist and geographer whose work investigates the hidden infrastructures of surveillance, data collection, and state power. Utilizing tools from photography, investigative journalism, and engineering, he reveals the often unseen mechanisms that shape our digital and physical worlds. Paglen's projects have included tracking classified satellites, photographing secret military sites, and exploring the biases embedded within artificial intelligence systems. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Tate Modern, and he has received numerous accolades, such as the 2017 MacArthur Fellowship. Through his interdisciplinary approach, Paglen challenges audiences to consider the ethical implications of technology and the importance of transparency in contemporary society.
Amber Boardman
Amber Boardman is an American-born, Sydney-based artist whose work explores the influence of the internet on crowds and social norms. Boardman's exhibitions of large, narrative and interconnected paintings serve as anthropological visual essays that explore facets of the internet from different angles. Over the last two decades, she has been committed to fostering the creative talent of artists. Boardman holds a PhD in Fine Art and has been an invited speaker at universities, art galleries and museums since 2011. She has lectured in art and animation at leading universities in the US and Australia. Boardman has founded shared studio/exhibition spaces in both Brooklyn NY and Sydney Australia and continues to facilitate the exchange of ideas between artists internationally with her Virtual Studio Visit events.
Caroline Sinders
Caroline Sinders is a machine learning design researcher and artist whose work explores the intersection of technology, society, interface design, AI, abuse, and digital politics. She is the founder of Convocation Design + Research, an agency focused on ethical design, public interest technology, and communication challenges. With a deep commitment to social justice and digital rights, Sinders has collaborated with organizations like Amnesty International, Intel, IBM Watson, and the Wikimedia Foundation. Her career includes prestigious fellowships at the Harvard Kennedy School, Mozilla Foundation, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Eyebeam, STUDIO for Creative Inquiry, and the International Center of Photography. Her work has been exhibited in renowned institutions such as Tate Modern, Victoria and Albert Museum, MoMA PS1, and Ars Electronica. She holds a Master’s degree from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program.
Dalia Spichtig
Dalia is a Geneva-based artist and illustrator whose work bridges speculative fiction, critical theory, and visual storytelling. Trained in Media & Interaction Design at ECAL and holding a Master’s from abroad, she explores the philosophical and political stakes of technology and its influence on collective consciousness. Rooted in science fiction, her practice spans comics, interactive media and essays. She addresses themes like surveillance, algorithmic bias, and digital colonialism through a lens that is decolonial, feminist, and leftist. Militant and deeply political, her work confronts power structures and the aesthetics of control. Featured in independent publications and alternative spaces across Europe, Dalia’s voice stands out in the field of critical digital art and speculative design.
Brikeld Hoxha
Brikeld Hoxha (b. 2000, Modena, Italy) is a Lausanne‑based designer and ECAL media interaction design graduate. After studying economics, he shifted to design, focusing on human–technology relationships and AI‑driven experiences. His practice merges critical inquiry with playful interfaces, unveiling the invisible algorithms that shape our digital lives.
Andreas Abbaszadeh
Andreas Abbaszadeh (b. 2003, Neuchâtel) is a producer, songwriter, and artist. He holds a degree in Media & Interaction Design from ECAL (École cantonale d'art de Lausanne). His practice is mainly focused on his various musical projects and collaborations. Outside of music Abbaszadeh also frequently collaborates and works on audio visual projects more in line with his studies.
